Aspire Nursing Agency was founded by two nurses who have dedicated their careers to residential aged care.
Throughout our careers, we've had the privilege of caring for older Australians and working alongside incredible aged care professionals. Those experiences reinforced what we have always believed: aged care is not simply another area of nursing, it is a specialty that demands its own clinical expertise, leadership, compassion and commitment.
That belief was shaped long before the Aspire Nursing Agency was established.
During a final-year nursing placement, one of our founders shared a passion for pursuing a career in aged care. The response was, "That's a shame. You'll lose your skills." While the comment was disappointing, it reflected a perception that aged care has faced for many years.
As our careers progressed, the opposite proved to be true.
We saw firsthand the complexity of residential aged care and the expertise it demands. Caring for older Australians requires far more than clinical knowledge alone. It requires critical thinking, sound clinical judgement, strong leadership, regulatory understanding, compassionate communication and the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
That experience inspired a simple belief: aged care deserves to be recognised as the specialised profession it truly is.
From that belief, the Aspire Nursing Agency was born.
We chose the name Aspire because it reflects what we stand for, not simply meeting expectations, but continually aspiring to raise the standard of aged care through experienced professionals, trusted partnerships and a shared commitment to excellence.
